This past weekend was spent in Nacogdoches celebrating my mom and dad's 40th wedding anniversary. We hosted a big party for them that went beautifully. Their marriage is such an inspiration to us all and I feel so lucky to be a part of their wonderful legacy.

| Evie all dressed up for the party. |
| Pop and his "baby grands" |
Of course, no visit to Nac would be complete without a visit to Pop's "train room".
| My nephew, Jackson, and Pop. |
| Grammy and Evie enjoyed the train too! |
| Jackson got to be the train conductor. |
We spent some time outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather.
| Evie was fascinated by Pop's whistling. |

In other news...
Evie turned 8 months old on Sunday!
I can't believe she's 8 months already. My baby is growing so fast! Her monthly picture sessions are getting more difficult because she doesn't want to sit still long enough to have her picture taken. But she's also much more animated and fun.
| Yay! Success! |
She's SO close to really crawling, but for now she's still doing the army man crawl. Today she pulled herself up to a standing position for the first time. I was very impressed. Maybe she'll skip crawling altogether?
